I grew up knowing that I would be a teacher, and can remember the days of writing report cards for my dolls and stuffed animals like it was yesterday. Teaching my munchkins is stressful (to put it nicely), but I can’t imagine a more rewarding job.
Landing my dream job did not come easily, and I’ve gone through my share of heartbreaks to end up in my own classroom, but it was worth it. My dream is to one day write a book on all my teaching adventures, because as anyone knows who works with 9 year olds…. there is plenty to share!
Check out some of my teaching posts:

Have you ever thought about having a classroom blog for your students to share what’s happening in the classroom? I’m entertaining the idea for next year with my third graders. Let me know if you have thoughts!
I think that’s an awesome idea… My only concern would be the lack of computers in my district. I wish I could figure something out though because that would be such a fun thing to do, and I think the parents would love it!!
I’ve always wanted to be a teacher & once I made up my own homework in first grade so I could grade it when I finished … embarassing! But have you read Phillip Done’s Thirty-Two Third Grader s and One Class Bunny? It details his adventures and lessons learned from teaching third grade, it will have you smiling, laughing, crying & feeling inspired by the time you are finished reading. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT
I’ve never read that!!! I’m definetly going to be buying it now though… Thanks for the recommendation!
