This past weekend was such a blast, and so full of love! As I mentioned, one of my very best friends got married, and we had quite the weekend of celebrating the newlyweds!
After work on Friday, Bobby and I hopped in the car to head to Westchester county in New York to kick of the weekend. It started with the wedding rehearsal followed by the rehearsal dinner at a little Italian restaurant. The rehearsal dinner was intimate and personalized to reflect the couple and their personalities. Bobby and I had a great time catching up with everyone!
After a delicious dinner and some rehearsal fun (including The Shoe Game that we played at our rehearsal dinner), we all headed back to the Doral Arrowood where we were staying for the weekend. We hung out at the hotel bar with a bunch of friends for a drink, but the rest of the bridesmaids and I called it an early night so that we would be in tip top shape for the wedding day!
Saturday morning started early with a 7:30 wake up. I was running around getting ready, so Bobby was nice enough to order room service for me to pick at while I got my act together.
Scrambled eggs and fruit (I gave my homefries to Bobby)!
After getting some food in my stomach, I met up with the rest of the bridesmaids and we headed over to a local salon for hair and makeup!
After getting all dolled up, we headed over to the Brides house for a light lunch of sandwiches, fruit, veggies, and salad before the photographers arrived.
We are vultures apparently and attacked the spread before I remembered to take a picture!
And of course…. we sipped some mimosas throughout the day!
Surprisingly, the bride wasn’t too anxious or nervous throughout the day. The whole day was very laid back and relaxed. We even had the chance to sit outside in the sun and chat for a little bit!
The wedding excitement started to pick up a bit as the photographers arrived and it was time to put on our dresses. The dresses were gorgeous, and so comfortable! They were from Amsale and were a blue hydrangea color. Perfect for a warm spring day!
Soon after, the beautiful flowers arrived! Aren’t they gorgeous?
Next up on the wedding day itinerary… the wedding dress!!! We were all so excited to see the bride in her dress because she kept it a secret from everyone, and it was beautiful. She looked elegant and timeless, and there were certainly tears as she came down the stairs!
From then on, the day seemed to go into fast forward! The ceremony was beautiful and it was such an great feeling to see two people get married who are truly best friends and have so much love for each other.
Before we knew it, we were on our way to the cocktail hour (no getting lost like last time)!
The weather was perfect, so the Bride and Groom were lucky enough to have their cocktail hour outdoors. The reception was held at Doral Arrowood (which is also the hotel we were staying at) in Rye Brook, New York.
After having our fair share of passed appetizers, we headed into the ball room and found our tables for dinner and dancing!
This would be the part of the night where I dropped off my camera in the bridal suite to charge and never took it back out until the reception was over. I was truly having such a blast I didn’t want to leave the dance floor for a second. I did manage to snap an iPhone pic, but that’s about all the photo documentation I have for the night! Oh well.
The reception was an absolute blast, and everything was so personalized. The couple’s love for each other was apparent in every little detail that went into the wedding. It truly was such a blessing to have been able to be a part of such love.
After partying way into the early morning hours, we called it a night and slept until 10:00 this morning… it was glorious!
One more wedding is over, and only one more left until wedding season is officially over for us this year! I feel like I’ve had nothing but wedding related activities on the calendar for months now, and it’s actually kind of sad to see it coming to a close!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
What was your favorite moment of the weekend??
Are you good at remembering to take pictures when you are out having fun with friends?? Clearly I’m not!

You’re one of those women who ALWAYS has perfect hair!
I totally wish I was that but I always look disheveled from the chin up. You should do a hair tips & tricks post!
Thank you so much, but that’s really, really not the case!! During the week my hair is always thrown up in a messy bun… I just don’t have the patience to deal with it!
You are SO cute!!!
Love your hair!
Haha I get so wrapped up in the moment, sometimes I forget to take out my camera! I don’t think that’s a bad thing, but then I get disappointed that I dont’ have pictures! haha
That’s so sweet of you!! Thank you
I agree, when I’m having so much fun I never think to take pics but always end up wishing I did!
I had promised to stay away from reading/commenting on blogs and working on my own for the long weekend … but I saw the title of this post, and couldn’t help but read it! What a fabulous weekend – I’m a lover of love
I can’t wait for wedding season to start for me – and that’s not until mid August! I love her dress, too!
Hahah isn’t love the best?? I’m a lover of love as well.
Her dress was gorgeous!
I agree with the previous comments – love your hair!! That wedding looks like it was a lot of fun and filled with love
My favorite moment of the weekend was sitting out on the boat at the lake with Craig!
Ahhh nothing better then sitting out on a boat enjoying the sunshine!! Glad you had a good time
what a fun wedding weekend! The wedding season for me this year starts this weekend & will finish in august! … let the fun begin!
It’s always a hit or miss for me on taking my pictures, either i bring out the camera & can’t stop snapping away to the point where I must believe I’m the paparazzi or something, or my camera never leaves my bag & i’m lucky to get 1 or 2 iphone pics!
Ohh I’m jealous your wedding season is just starting up! Although I’ll be honest, I’m excited to get in some sleep on the weekends finally!
Hahah I hear ya about the camera… I’m always one or the other!
Aw, I love weddings! Looks like you had a great time!
Well it’s a good thing you love weddings because yours is coming up soon, missy!!
What a gorgeous bride! I love the “getting ready” part of the morning!
Isn’t it so much fun?? We had a blast… my husband always says he feels bad for girls because there is so much we have to do on the wedding day (as a bridesmaid), but I honestly love it. It’s like a mini spa day with your friends!
Fun weekend!! I just love weddings. Such a special time with good friends (and good food!)!
Good friends and good food are always a winning combination!
Wow, you have so many weddings lately! The flowers are GORGEOUS! Looks liek a beautiful wedding and such a fun weekend
I know! It’s been a crazy spring, only one more left of the wedding season though!!
My favorite part of the weekend was my parents came to visit me in NYC
I love the bride’s wedding dress! So classic
So pretty! I’m ridiculously excited for wedding season to be starting up again
