I really, really love participating in W.I.A.W. Not only because I get to see yummy eats all around the blog world, but it’s also a little reminder that the week is already half way over!
This week is the last week before standardized testing starts on Monday, so I’m a bit stressed. I know I’ve done a great job of preparing my students, but being that this is only my 2nd year teaching… I’m overwhelmed with it all.
Anyway, enough with the stress… let’s get into the good stuff!

As I was writing this post I realized that almost every single picture of my food from Tuesday was taken with my iPhone…. sorry to make you suffer through these… I’ll be back next week with quality food pictures!
Breakfast – 8:15 A.M.
Not so pretty looking, but I could have (or maybe did…) lick the bowl clean. I made a variation of the Apple Cinnamon Protein Mix that I made last week, adding some frozen blueberries and a splash of unsweetened almond milk. I’m tellin’ you… if you are looking for a new breakfast idea, try this out. I also had a Gingerade Kombucha but I think by now we all know what a picture of that looks like considering I drink them down like water!
Lunch – 11:45
Easy, simple, and not too different from my usual lunches. I enjoyed a Flatout wrap with roasted red pepper hummus, sprouts, and spinach. On the side was a veggie loaded salad (with leftover roasted brussel sprouts and broccoli).
Snack – 2:45
I knew I needed something substantial because I had a 4 mile run and Bodypump class planned for after work, so I brought a shaker filled with unsweetened almond milk. In the shaker I threw some chocolate protein powder and some Nutritious Living cereal for a protein shake/cereal bowl of a snack.
*Edited to add: I now realize that you can actually see my finger in the above picture. I’m actually laughing at how horrible these pictures are. I won’t be offended if you skip over my W.I.A.W. posts from now on.
Dinner – 7:00
After the gym, neither Bobby or I wanted to deal with cooking dinner, and we just happened to have a coupon to a local sushi restaurant. Sweaty and smelly, we marched in there and ordered our food. Gross, I know. When you are super hungry, cleanliness doesn’t matter. Food matters. Priorities. For dinner, I got a vegetable roll with brown rice and a naruto roll. I also snagged a few pieces of Bobby’s spicy tuna roll, and we split the edemame.
There ya have it…. my Wednesday (but actually Tuesday) eats! I hope everyone has a fabulous day today!

Oh my heart goes out to you for state testing- and you kiddos too. I have been teaching three years and have yet to teach the same grade twice; my kids had state testing last month- sooooo stressful. It was my first year of state testing- my kids rocked! I was sooooo proud! ….. I’ll say an extra prayer for you and your kiddos, it’s not an easy time- on the bright side you can come home to a bottle of wine! I had to come home to a tall glass of water on the bad days.
That’s awesome that your kids did a good job!!! I’m hoping to say the same after next week. Isn’t it so crazy how stressful it is for teachers??? And my kids are bouncing off the walls this week so it makes it that much worse. I sorta feel like ripping my hair out.
If it weren’t for the promise of a glass of wine when I get home, I’d go off the deep end…. Dont know how you do it girl.
I tend to eat right away if I workout at night. Morning workouts usually get a shower before eating.
Good luck with the testing. My little one is in kindergarten and I’m already dreading those tests….
Standardized tests are the worst! I wouldn’t be concerned with your little one though, honestly I think it’s much more stressful for teachers then for the kids (which in my opinion, is good…. Kids don’t need that stress).
After I finish a work out I am always starving and tend to dive right into my meals, sweaty work out clothes and all! Classy right?

Usually after a workout I take a shower and immediately jump into comfy clothes. It’s tough sometimes (especially after a spin class and I’m STARVING!) but I always feel better getting out of sweaty clothes. Yummy eats!
You are much cleaner then me! Haha although I do agree that there is nothing like a hot shower and comfy clothes after a good workout.
after i work out i’ve gone into places to order food, or i just go home and eat right away cause i’m so hungry! kind of gross but food is usually the only thing on my mind lol
Food is my main priority too…. Showers come second.
If I’m starving right after a workout I will come home, throw together some food and scarf it down. But then I will take a shower, that way I force myself to take a break from eating, and then I come back and eat dessert – you have to have priorities haha

Seriously though, the sushi picture is so clear! I usually wait a bit before eating after a workout… I am not that hungry and then suddenly I AM! And food gets in me quite quick

They are delicious but I can feel myself growing bored!
I am a weirdo about showering and I always have to shower before eating. For some reason I’m never hungry before that, but as soon as I’m clean, I’m ravenous.

Love how everything BUT dinner is in a container. I usually take overnight oats with me to school and top it like crazy with whatever sweet toppings i can think of!
