… and just like that, it’s Friday again! Did anyone else feel like this week flew by? I’m not complaining.
Fridays are always the best for a few reasons. Well, the obvious… it’s the kickoff to the weekend! The not so obvious reason is that I have two prep periods every Friday. That means an hour and a half of absolute peace and quiet while my students have their specials. Don’t get me wrong, I adore my students, but by Friday… I’m ready for a break.
Usually my prep periods are spent making copies, grading papers, and putting together my lesson plans, but today I treated myself to 45 minutes of uninterrupted reading! It was glorious! Has anyone ever read this book? I love all of Elin Hilderbrands books, and although I’m only about a quarter of a way through this one, I highly recommend it!
Another thing that started my morning off on the right foot is that I managed to get my butt on the treadmill instead of succumbing to my spin class desire before work! As I mentioned last week, I decided to cut back on spinning in order to get in more weekday runs before my 1/2 marathon in May. I wasn’t happy about it at the time, but the energy I felt during my run was well worth it! I put on my go-to running jam (Bruce Springsteen’s Americanland!!) and had a great run. Whenever I hear that song, I get a huge burst of energy, hence why I had the song on repeat throughout my run!
Bobby and I are off for yet another sushi date (we can’t get enough) and then tomorrow I have a bridal shower for a good friend! I can’t wait to see the beautiful Bride-to-Be!
Any fun weekend plans?
What’s your go-to song for energy during a workout? Clearly, I need some variety!
Third Grade World…
Today we had a fun Friday thanks to…
Leprechaun writing!
Pizza book reports!
Number 9 shaped donuts for a birthday celebration! (Um… by the way, did anyone else know that Dunkin Donuts makes customized donuts?? Where were these when we were growing up and fighting over who would get the chocolate munchkins??)
And a very special drawing of ME! Oh, you didn’t realize I was a pilgrim? I am.
See the resemblance (minus the fact that the pilgrim doesn’t have bags under her eyes or smudged makeup from 6 hours of hanging out with nine year olds)??

Thanks for recommending the book, I was wondering what to read next
Im driving to Tennessee today
going to stay there for the weekend
My faveourite song is boogie wonderland, have you played the wii game just dance? well there is such a fun dance to that song in that game and I always want to start to dance on the run
lol
thanks for the song suggestion! Haven’t heard it but I’m gonna download it before my next run!
I love all your cute classroom projects! I’m a school psych, so I work very closely with teachers.
No exciting plans this weekend. We’re trying to figure out some real estate stuff … trying to sell our home in Ohio and buy one in Georgia. But man, it is stressful! Growing up is highly overrated!!
Agreed! Can’t we just have fun instead of worrying about real life things?! Good luck with the real estate stuff!
