Hi guys! I’ve decided to jump on the W.I.A.W. bandwagon and this is my first go at it! Thanks for Jenn at Peas and Crayons for hosting this little party!
I’m a creature of habit, and I’ll be the first to admit I fall easily into food ruts. Seeing other blogger’s daily eats helps me to expand my horizons (and also makes me realize how incredibly monotonous I’ve become with my food choices). I figure by documenting this each Wednesday, I’ll be forced to try new (to me) things. So here it is… my first What I Ate Wednesday (which is actually a lie, this was my Tuesday
).
7:30 A.M.
Kombucha Gingerade enjoyed on my way to work (beautiful sunshine yet again)! I’ve recently become obsessed with drinking a Kombucha first thing in the morning, and luckily for me, they’ve been on sale at my local health food store. I’m petrified (and I’m not exaggerating) for the day I walk in to get my weekly supply and realize the sale is over…. I just don’t think (no, I KNOW) that I can’t justify spending the full price for a drink each day.
8:15 A.M.
I enjoyed a delicious Gala apple and a few tablespoons of this dehydrated peanut butter which I made by simply adding water to it. Usually, I stick to buying PB2, but the store was all out, and the nutritional stats are very similar. This mini breakfast was scarfed down while getting ready for my morning before my kiddos swarmed the classroom.
10:00 A.M.
Snack time included some sliced veggies and about half of this granola bar for some substance.
12:00 P.M.
Favorite time… Lunchtime! Unfortunately my class was inside during lunch so this was not enjoyed as peacefully as I would have liked. Regardless, it was delish. I enjoyed a whole wheat wrap filled with garlic hummus, some sliced zucchini, and sprouts. On the side I had a massive salad beast topped with roasted veggies and some balsamic vinegar.
3:00 P.M.
A few handfuls of pistachios to hold me over until I got home. Did the trick!
4:00 P.M.
Usually I wouldn’t have another snack so soon, but I knew I’d be going for a run before an hour long BodyPump class, so I needed something quick and easy for energy. Chocolate protein powder and unsweetened almond milk! Can’t get much easier than that…
7:30 P.M.
Dinner time! After Bodypump, I roasted up some broccoli and asparagus before topping it with some broiled salmon (on a bed of mixed greens). So yummy and so healthy!
I ended my night on the couch with some unpictured Sleepytime tea and a few Hershey kisses to satisfy my (raging) sweet tooth!
So there ya have it… my first WIAW! How’d I do?

ok so i’m waiting for my dinner to cook and this is making me want to eat my hand off! haha happy first wiaw love!!!! I linked you up to the party but next week If you join in again just make sure you link up on my WIAW post. There’s a little blue button that says “add your link” at the bottom of the post and you’ll use that to join the partayyy! <3 so excited you joined us!!!! xoxo
Haha thanks so much… I’ll be sure to do it next week and link it up! Enjoy that dinner!! Xoxo
I just started participating in WIAW too! I always forget to take pictures of some things though
You are so right – even just reading about the “everyday eats” of other bloggers has made me expand my horizons and try new things!
That salmon looks really good! Great job on your first WIAW
I’ve realized that I can’t do WIAW every week, because most of meals look the same and it gets boring, haha.
Thanks! I wish I could pretend that I slaved over that salmon, but in reality it was the easiest dinner ever! I just put salt and pepper on it and threw it under the broiler until it looked done. Sooo easy and yummy!
